What is website optimisation?
Website optimisation is the work of improving an existing website where it matters for visitors and enquiries: speed, Google visibility, AI search visibility, user journeys and technical health. The goal isn’t a prettier website – it’s more of the right enquiries from the site you already have.
| Lever | What it covers | Signs of a problem |
|---|---|---|
| Speed | How fast your page is visible and usable on a phone | The page visibly builds up, images jump, PageSpeed Insights shows red |
| Google (SEO) | Whether Google finds, understands and ranks your key pages for the right searches | People only find you when they search for your company name |
| AI search (GEO) | Whether ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity mention you or cite your site | Ask an AI who offers your service in your city – your competitors show up |
| Leads (conversion) | Whether visitors instantly understand what you offer and find the next step | Visitors arrive, but hardly anyone calls or writes |
| Technical health | Updates, redirects, forms, privacy, clean indexing | Outdated plugins, forms landing in spam, old URLs leading nowhere |
What’s included in the Website Booster?
The Website Booster is my fixed-price website optimisation: €2,500 plus VAT for audit, implementation and final report. My team at SEOeffekt does the work, I set the priorities. You get the plan in writing before we start and a before-and-after comparison at the end.
| Building block | What we actually do |
|---|---|
| Audit | Check your site with the SEO Compass and my AI tool for SEO and GEO, review Google Search Console and Analytics, look at your three main competitors |
| Speed | Compress images and switch to modern formats, remove unnecessary scripts and plugins, set up caching – aiming to get your Core Web Vitals (Google’s speed and usability metrics) into the green |
| Google (SEO) | Rewrite titles and descriptions of your key pages, check headings and indexing, fix broken links and redirects, add structured data |
| AI search (GEO) | Clear short answers and facts on your key pages so AI systems understand and cite you, plus an llms.txt file as a table of contents for AI |
| Leads | Sharpen your homepage and contact path: a clear message at the top, visible contact options, a shorter form, one-tap phone and WhatsApp |
| Tracking | Make enquiries, calls and form submissions measurable so you finally know what your website delivers |
| Final report | Before-and-after numbers and a prioritised list of next steps |
Scope: The fixed price covers websites with up to ten key pages, such as homepage, service pages and contact. For larger sites or online shops, we focus on the ten pages with the biggest impact – or I’ll send you a tailored quote.
Not included: a new design, new copy for the whole site, or ongoing work afterwards. That’s what website maintenance and my SEO services are for.
How does it work?
- Free intro call (15 minutes): We look at your website and your SEO Compass result together. If the Website Booster isn’t right for you, I’ll say so.
- Audit and plan (week 1): My team reviews your site, I set priorities. You get the list of changes and sign it off.
- Implementation (weeks 2 to 5): We work on a staging copy or with a backup, so your site stays live the whole time.
- Wrap-up (week 6): Final report with before-and-after numbers, a short video handover and your next steps.
How can you optimise your website yourself?
- Speed: Test your homepage in PageSpeed Insights (opens in a new tab) on mobile, compress large images and remove plugins you don’t use. More in my guide to improving PageSpeed Insights.
- Google: Search for
site:yourdomain.comto see what Google has indexed. Give every key page its own title with the term your customers actually search for. - AI search: Ask ChatGPT who offers your service in your city. Answer each page’s main question in two or three sentences right at the top. More in How to show up in ChatGPT.
- Leads: Show your homepage to someone for five seconds – can they say what you offer? Cut every form field you don’t need, then send yourself a test enquiry.
- Technical health: Keep your CMS and plugins up to date (backup first) and check Google Search Console for page errors.

What results can you expect?
That depends on where you start, so I don’t promise numbers for your site. Here are results from SEOeffekt client projects. They come from SEO projects and show what’s possible on the same levers:

- +245 %
- online shop conversion rate (Schulte-Ufer)

Website optimisation questions
Updated on · by Hamed Farhadian
How much does website optimisation cost?
The Website Booster costs €2,500 plus VAT at a fixed price. That covers the audit, the implementation and the final report. No hourly billing, no extra invoices. We agree in writing what will be done before we start.
How long does website optimisation take?
The Website Booster usually takes four to six weeks from kick-off to final report. Speed and lead paths improve straight away; changes in Google rankings usually take a few weeks to show.
Does it work with Shopify, Wix or other platforms?
WordPress is our main focus. We check other platforms in the free intro call. If we can’t change enough on your system, I’ll tell you before you pay anything.
Do you guarantee better rankings?
No. Nobody serious can promise rankings – Google decides those. What I do promise: you know beforehand exactly what will be done, and afterwards you get the before-and-after numbers in black and white.
What happens after the Website Booster?
You get a report with everything we did and a prioritised list of next steps. You can tackle them yourself, hand them over through website maintenance, or keep growing your rankings with my SEO services.
