# SEO case studies: results you can check – Real projects – real numbers.

These case studies show what SEO delivered in real client projects: online shop revenue tripled, 245% more visitors from Google, four times as many B2B enquiries and an estate agent’s first enquiry after 6 weeks. Each one covers the starting point, what we did and the result – plus what you can take away for your own business.

## What results do the case studies show?

In short: SEO brought my clients more revenue, more enquiries and lower ad spend – in e-commerce, in B2B and for local service providers alike.

| Client | Starting point | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Josef Schulte-Ufer KG | online shop with hardly any organic traffic | shop revenue tripled, conversion rate +25% |
| HostPress GmbH | new customers almost only via expensive Google Ads | +245% organic traffic in under 6 months, around €10,000 less ad spend per month |
| Horst Trommelschläger Objekteinrichtungen | B2B website with few enquiries | four times as many enquiries per month from organic search |
| Hansemakler | no enquiries via the website for months | first qualified enquiry after 6 weeks |

- [Hansemakler: From zero enquiries – to a new client in 6 weeks.](https://www.hamed.de/en/case-studies/hansemakler/) – Local SEO case study: how a Hamburg estate agent went from months without a single website enquiry to his first qualified lead in just 6 weeks.
- [HostPress: More customers from Google – less money on ads.](https://www.hamed.de/en/case-studies/hostpress/) – B2B SEO case study: how HostPress grew organic traffic by 245% in under 6 months and cut around €10,000 a month from its Google Ads spend.
- [Schulte-Ufer: Three times the revenue – quick wins first.](https://www.hamed.de/en/case-studies/schulte-ufer/) – E-commerce SEO case study: how Josef Schulte-Ufer KG tripled its online shop revenue with quick wins, helpful content and a smoother checkout.
- [Trommelschläger: Four times the enquiries – after six weeks of SEOrocket.](https://www.hamed.de/en/case-studies/objekteinrichtungen/) – B2B SEO case study: how a wholesaler of restaurant and contract furniture got four times as many enquiries a month after the six-week SEOrocket programme.

## How were these results achieved?

The projects couldn’t be more different – a long-established online shop, a hosting provider, a wholesaler and an estate agent. The approach was the same every time:

1. **Analysis:** Where does the website stand today, what do customers search for, and what are competitors doing better?
2. **Priorities:** Quick wins first – measures that work fast with little effort, such as pages that are already close to the top.
3. **Implementation:** Improve content, the technical set-up and links – done by my team at SEOeffekt or by the client’s own team.
4. **Measure and refine:** Double down on what works, drop what doesn’t.

This roadmap is the core of [SEOrocket](https://www.hamed.de/en/seorocket/), SEOeffekt’s SEO programme. Several clients in these case studies started with exactly that.

## How can you tell whether SEO is working?

SEO results can be measured. The key tool is Google Search Console, a free tool from Google that shows how often your pages appear in search (impressions) and how often people click on them (clicks). In client projects I typically see three patterns there:

### Steady growth in organic traffic

On existing websites, visibility rises steadily when old content is improved and new content is added.

{% bild datei="belege/seo-erfolge-1.png" alt="Google Search Console: clicks and impressions rise steadily over the period, with 22,671 clicks and 1.18 million impressions in total" unterschrift="Screenshot from a client project’s Google Search Console, July 2023." /%}

### High visibility for new websites

Brand-new websites can also win qualified visitors quickly when SEO is built into the structure and planning from day one.

{% bild datei="belege/seo-erfolge-2.png" alt="Google Search Console: impressions for a new website climb from zero to several thousand a day after launch, with 353,101 impressions in total" unterschrift="Screenshot from a new B2B website’s Google Search Console, July 2023." /%}

### A sudden jump in traffic

Sometimes targeted on-page changes unlock hidden potential and clicks rise sharply within a few weeks. That’s not the norm – but it happens.

{% bild datei="belege/seo-erfolge-3.png" alt="Google Search Console for an online shop: clicks and impressions stay flat for a long time, then rise steeply at the end, with 43,907 clicks in total" unterschrift="Screenshot from an online shop’s Google Search Console, July 2023." /%}

### What counts in the end

In the end, though, clicks aren’t what counts. Enquiries, orders and revenue are. That’s why every case study shows what actually landed in the business.

## What can you take away from the case studies?

- **Start small, learn fast:** Quick wins deliver early results and build trust for the bigger steps.
- **Buying-intent keywords first:** A ranking that brings no enquiries isn’t a success.
- **SEO doesn’t end at the click:** At Schulte-Ufer, a smoother checkout also drove revenue. More on that under [conversion optimisation](https://www.hamed.de/en/conversion-optimization/).
- **Build know-how in-house:** Almost every client stresses how much they learned themselves. That makes you less dependent on agencies.

## Where can you find more proof?

Case studies show a few projects in depth. These pages give you the wider picture:

- [Testimonials](https://www.hamed.de/en/testimonials/): what clients say about working with me, in their own words.
- [Clients](https://www.hamed.de/en/clients/): clients and projects by industry.

By the way, my own German page has ranked on page 1 of Google for “SEO-Experte Hamburg” since 2013, often in first place – how I did it is on my page as an [SEO consultant in Hamburg](https://www.hamed.de/en/seo-consultant-hamburg/).

## Questions about the case studies

### What is an SEO case study?

An SEO case study is a documented client project: the starting point, the measures taken and the measurable result over a given period. It doesn’t show what’s possible in theory – it shows what actually happened in a real business.

### How quickly do the first results show?

In these case studies the first measurable effects came within weeks: Hansemakler got its first qualified enquiry after 6 weeks, and Schulte-Ufer saw clicks on key blog posts rise by 900% in 6 weeks. How fast it goes for you depends on your starting point, your competition and your keywords.

### Can I expect results like these?

There’s no guarantee – Google decides, and anyone promising fixed rankings isn’t being straight with you. What I can tell you is where the biggest levers are on your website. The free [SEO Compass](https://kompass.seoeffekt.de/?quelle=hamed.de-en-case-studies-md&lang=en) gives you a first impression.

### Where do the numbers come from?

Every number belongs to a real client project and is listed with its timeframe in the case study. We measure with data such as Google Search Console, which shows a website’s clicks, impressions and rankings.
